GREAT SWELL IN LA JOLLA!!!
Double overhead and pitching. Pretty walled up but makeable. I had a pretty gnarly barrel. And a pretty bad wipeout as well. There was an outside set and i barely made it under the first one and scraped over the second. Then i was in prime possition and everybody else was caught inside, people were hooting and i took off and pumped super hard, dodging a section that wasnt quite fittable, then it doubled up and this mutan thing popped up in front of me and i knew i had to pull in. I pulled in and had to grab the rail. Best barrel of my life. But the next wave i got, i took off to late but i stuck the air drop. It began to barell so i tryed to pull in but i hit a chop on my outside rail and wiped out hard. I was just wearing boardshorts and a rash gaurd. Well i hit the water and then the wave hit me. It pushed me deep down and it ripped my shirt off and then i hit the bottom... HARD. On my ribs. I came out of the water and i had to explain to my brothers why i was shirtless and they just lauphed. Left with a pricless image and a priceless cut on my throught from my shirt being ripped off. Good day.

Day Three In San Diego
Early morning at Scripps, knee to waist high. The current was pretty stron and we got sucked to the peir. On the sets, they would be very peaky and super fun. Me and my surfin buddy did/attempet an air on every wave. An all around fun session at Scripps.
After i got back to the house, i began shaping my small wave performance board the "Stingray" 6'2"x 20 1/4"x 2 1/2". Flat deck with GREAT rails.

Day Two In San Diego
10 o'clock at Scripps. Driving down the road i see a peeling left and immediately start talking with excitement. The water was a bit chillier than i would like it but much better than Santa Cruz. The waves were waist with a couple chest sets thrown in. The chop was helpful because without it it would have been too perfect. Around 20 people were out and everybody was being burned and cutoff. The behavior here is much different. If somone got burned they would kick out and look very angry but they didnt try to say anything to let the other guy know you had possesion. In Santa Cruz, you get DUNKED if you do anything like what they were doing today. Interesting things.
After the session we went over to Mitch's Surf Shop and picked up a few blanks. We were thinking one small wave performer, big wave performer and a fun fish.

Day One In San Diego
Scripps beach in La Jolla was very crowded on the beach, but only three people at each peak. The water was warm and the sun was bright. It was semi choppy and bits of sea weed, and sea grass were EVERYWHERE. 5-6 foot faces and walled up, so it seemed to be a good day to ride a quad. The paddle out was easy because of the big rip current. My first ride was a pretty good one, it was pretty mushy at first so i worked it to the inside which then got very hollow so i pumped and just ended it with a floater. I was riding my brothers board and was trying to get used to it. The beach quickly cleared out as the weather did the opposite. There were many more exhilarating rides and even an air but the waves wernt very shouldery. Shaping a couple boards tommorow!

Dank Fische "The Lump"
The Dank Fische "The Lump" is an all around fun board. This board rides like a high performance fish because of the deep concaves and diamond tail giving it a shorter rail line. It comes as a 5 fin set up so you can change up the fins depending on conditions. It has a wider outline and bulky rails allow you to rocket through the mushy sections. Low rocker in the nose for EXTRA paddle and surfing speed with some extra kick in the tail for lift and maneuverability. It can handle 2 foot capitola to 7 foot pleasure point.
Tested and Proven by Dank Fische riders.
